Building shared direction for a growing global company.
Legacy brands. Distinct product portfolios. A newly acquired company. Teams spanning North and South America, EMEA, and Asia. Different languages. Different cultures. Grady Britton crafted a Mission and Vision that unified a global organization working toward a shared purpose.
Hengstler-Dynapar is a global precision motion technology company operating within Ralliant, a newly independent public company. As the organization entered its next chapter of growth, leadership recognized the need for a unified Mission and Vision that employees across brands, regions, and cultures could understand, believe in, and bring to life.
A Kaizen approach to Mission and Vision: iterative, rigorous, and built with the people who will bring it to life.
We started by listening — not just to leadership, but to employees across every region. Through surveys, focus groups, and co-creation sessions spanning The Americas (North and South America / U.S. and Brazil), EMEA (Germany, Slovakia, and India), and Asia (China), we surfaced what people valued, what they feared losing, and what they believed was worth preserving as the organization evolved. The effort brought together employees around the world to define a shared future
Co-creation builds ownership. Mandates build resistance. And when growth is the goal, ownership is everything.
Hengstler-Dynapar runs on Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement through rapid iteration. Grady Britton experienced this firsthand on-site during CEO Kaizen Week, an immersion that shaped how we customized our approach for the entire project, building around the organization's own collaborative problem-solving mindset. Employees helped shape the outcome directly, creating trust and ownership a top-down process rarely achieves.
Listening and iterating throughout surfaced the core beliefs employees weren't willing to compromise and shaped language that resonated and rang true across cultures.
The result: leaders who lead with clarity, and employees who know exactly why it matters.
Leaders now have a shared framework to confidently champion the future ahead. Employees have a clearer understanding of the organization's direction and the role they play in achieving it. Because they helped build it, they believe it. And because they believe it, they're ready to carry the organization into a new era.
