We Won Best in Show at the 2018 AMA Max Awards!

Grady Britton is pleased to announce that we took home “Best in Show” from the 2018 American Marketing Association Max Awards.

Oh, and we didn’t just win any award—we won Best in Show!

Best in Show for what, you ask? Well, dear and curious reader, our fellow creative professionals recognized Grady Britton for the “Journey Well” campaign we developed for Women’s Healthcare Associates (WHA). Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, WHA is the region’s foremost provider of female-focused healthcare. Since 2015, we’ve had the privilege of working with the organization on a variety of branding, social media, PR, advertising, and digital initiatives. See all of the entries here.

If you’re unfamiliar with the “Journey Well” campaign, here’s some background: While research showed that WHA patients adored their providers, there was little affinity for the organization as a whole. To drive these goals, we were charged with bringing the same dedication and passion of the WHA staff to life in the market. We recognized the importance of talking to women directly, without the common trap of cloying sentimentality or stereotypes. Ultimately, we wanted Portland area women to know there is a place for them—a place where they will experience the most dedicated, human, and personal healthcare imaginable.

We think the campaign’s results speak for themselves.

You can read more about the campaign and our other work for WHA here.

While winning Best in Show would have made our year regardless of the project, we’re especially honored that members of the Portland chapter of the American Marketing Association awarded this particular campaign. “Journey Well” was a true partnership with our client, Jen Norberg, and a demonstration of the brand-driven, multi-channel integrated work we do. What’s even more awesome is that the work was led by an all-female creative leadership team.

“Since our first brand discovery meeting in 2015, it was evident that this is an exceptional organization. When you work with doctors, clinicians and partners who care deeply about what they do, the communities of women they serve—and listening to one another first and foremost—it opens doors to have positive and emotional connections with women. They had the guts and smarts to recognize this and respectfully, “go there.” What a rare and beautiful thing. And now, what a poignant time to be there for women. All women.”
