I’ll admit that it took a lot of listening before we truly understood how The Freshwater Trust (TFT) works, and that’s because they are approaching conservation in a fundamentally different way. Beyond the science, data, and analytics that fuel their work is a mission to make measurable, impactful changes in how freshwater systems are managed. We take for granted just how much having abundant clean water impacts our lives, from what we eat and drink to where we play, but these systems are critically important and need to be protected.
This is especially true right now, as government funding programs are being slashed. Joe Whitworth, CEO of The Freshwater Trust, says, “The time is right to directly challenge the status quo of the restoration industrial complex by focusing on outcomes and demonstrating a new standard for efficiency and accountability. We have expanded our reach into several river basins in the Western states and have tangible results to share.”
That’s where we come in. Our role is to work with TFT to amplify local and national conversations around freshwater quality and quantity, sharing TFT’s expertise and thought leadership in water conservation and preservation. Challenge accepted. This is why we work with purpose-driven brands at Grady Britton. We help the good guys win.
